  • 2 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 pita breads
  • 1 cup tzatziki sauce
  • 1 cup sliced cucumbers
  • 1 cup sliced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup red onion, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Season the beef roast with garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place the seasoned beef in the slow cooker or Instant Pot.
  3. Add beef broth to the pot.
  4. If using a slow cooker, cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours. For the Instant Pot, cook on high pressure for 60 minutes and allow natural release.
  5. Once cooked, shred the beef with two forks.
  6. Serve on pita bread with tzatziki, cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the beef in the spices overnight.
  • Feel free to add other toppings like feta cheese or olives.
