- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen cherries, pitted and halved
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Fold in the cherries gently.
- Divide the batter evenly among muffin cups lined with paper liners.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
