These Cherry Cobbler Muffins are the perfect easy treats for a sweet day at home. With a delicious combination of cherries and a buttery muffin base, they are sure to please everyone!

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen cherries, pitted and halved

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  5. Fold in the cherries gently.
  6. Divide the batter evenly among muffin cups lined with paper liners.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool for a few minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a teaspoon of almond extract.
  • These muffins are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored for a couple of days.
