  • 3 tablespoons eggnog
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar for rolling
  • 1 cup your favorite jam for filling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs, eggnog, and vanilla, and mix until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Roll the dough into balls and roll each ball in powdered sugar to coat.
  7. Place the coated balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Use your thumb to create an indent in the center of each ball.
  9. Fill each indent with a teaspoon of jam.
  10. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden.
  11. Allow cooling on a wire rack.
