- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup diced apples
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
- Add softened butter and mix until crumbly.
- Press half of the mixture into the bottom of a greased pan.
- In another bowl, mix eggs, milk, nutmeg, baking powder, and salt.
- Fold in diced apples.
- Pour the apple mixture over the crust in the pan.
- Top with remaining crumb mixture.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool before serving.
