Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla.
  5. Alternately add the flour mixture and buttermilk to the butter mixture, beginning and ending with the flour.
  6. Fold in the crushed cookies.
  7. Divide the batter among the cupcake liners and bake for 18-20 minutes.
  8. Allow to cool before frosting.
