  • 1 onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook rigatoni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and cook until translucent.
  3. Add garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in crushed tomatoes, basil, and oregano; simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until well blended.
  6. Add the cooked rigatoni to the sauce and toss to coat.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
