Crockpot French Dip Sandwich Recipe

  • 3 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 8 hoagie rolls
  • 8 slices provolone cheese

Instructions

  1. Place the beef chuck roast in the crockpot.
  2. Add the sliced onion, minced garlic, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and thyme.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the meat is tender.
  4. Shred the beef with two forks and return to the crockpot to mix with the juices.
  5. Toast the hoagie rolls if desired, then fill each roll with the shredded beef and top with provolone cheese.
  6. Serve with small bowls of broth for dipping.
