Easy Chicken Pot Pie

A delicious and comforting chicken pot pie featuring turkey bacon for a flavorful twist.

  • 1 pound chicken breast, cooked and shredded
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
  • 1/3 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 pie crust

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the onion until translucent.
  3. Add the cooked chicken, turkey bacon, and mixed vegetables to the skillet.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the mixture, stir, and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and milk, season with garlic powder and thyme, and simmer until thickened.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a pie dish and cover with pie crust, cutting slits for steam.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the crust is golden brown.
