- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup apples, peeled and chopped
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
- In another bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and chopped apples.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
- In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon for the swirl.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan, sprinkle with half of the cinnamon mixture, and repeat with the remaining batter and cinnamon mixture.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before slicing and serving.
