Garlic Butter Steak and Potatoes

A delicious and hearty meal featuring succulent steak and flavorful potatoes cooked in garlic butter.

  • 2 ribeye steaks
  • 1 pound baby potatoes
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat.
  3. Season the steaks with salt and pepper.
  4. Once the butter is bubbling, add the steaks to the skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
  5. Remove the steaks and set aside.
  6. In the same skillet, add the remaining butter, garlic, rosemary, and thyme, cooking until fragrant.
  7. Add the baby potatoes to the skillet and toss to coat them in the garlic butter.
  8. Return the steaks to the skillet, spoon some butter over the top, and transfer to the oven.
  9. Bake for about 10-15 minutes for medium-rare.
  10. Let the steaks rest before slicing and serve with potatoes.
