Korean Barbecue Style Meatballs

A delicious fusion dish combining the savory flavors of Korean barbecue with juicy meatballs made from turkey bacon and beef.

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, chopped turkey bacon, breadcrumbs, egg, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, green onions, brown sugar, and black pepper.
  3. Mix until well incorporated.
  4. Form mixture into meatballs, about 2 inches in diameter.
  5. Place meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until fully cooked.

Notes

  • For added flavor, brush meatballs with extra soy sauce halfway through baking.
  • Serve with a side of kimchi or steamed rice for a complete meal.
