One Pot French Onion Pasta

  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, add olive oil and sliced onions, cooking until caramelized.
  3. Add minced garlic and thyme, stirring until fragrant.
  4. Pour in beef broth and bring to a boil.
  5. Add pasta and cook until al dente, stirring occasionally.
  6. Once cooked, stir in cheese if using and crumble crispy turkey bacon on top before serving.

Notes

  • This dish can be made vegetarian by omitting the bacon and using vegetable broth.
