A rich and comforting dish featuring pappardelle pasta and a savory Bolognese sauce made with turkey bacon.

  • 12 ounces pappardelle pasta
  • 6 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 can (15 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook the pappardelle pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and chop.
  3. In the same skillet, add onion and garlic, sautéing until soft.
  4. Add ground turkey, cooking until browned. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  5. Let the sauce simmer for 15 minutes.
  6. Mix in the chopped turkey bacon and cooked pasta, stirring well.
  7. Serve topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
