Pasta Recipe Creamy Braised Chicken with Pappardelle

A delicious and indulgent recipe for creamy braised chicken served with pappardelle pasta.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken thighs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 12 ounces pappardelle pasta
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a Dutch oven over medium heat. Add chicken thighs and brown on both sides. Remove and set aside.
  2. Add onion and garlic to the pot; sauté until onion is translucent.
  3. Return chicken to pot; add chicken broth and heavy cream. Simmer for 30 minutes or until chicken is tender.
  4. Meanwhile, cook pappardelle according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  5. Shred chicken and return to sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Serve the creamy chicken sauce over pappardelle and garnish with parsley.

Notes

  • For additional richness, you can add Parmesan cheese to the sauce.
  • Serve with a green salad for a complete meal.
