  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 3/4 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 unbaked pie crust

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until translucent.
  3. Stir in the flour and cook for another minute.
  4. Gradually whisk in the chicken broth and milk, bring to a simmer, and thicken.
  5. Add the shredded chicken, mixed vegetables, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  6. Pour the mixture into a pie crust and cover with another crust. Cut slits in the top crust.
  7. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
  8. Let it cool before serving.
