Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Add the egg and molasses, mixing until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet, stirring to form a dough.
  6. Roll the dough into balls and place on a baking sheet.
  7. Make an indentation in the center of each ball and fill with chocolate chips.
